Your Story; His Glory
John 4:39

AUDIO: Listen to the audio version of this post HERE.

John 4:39 (NIV)
39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”

The Bible, in John 4:4-42, shares the meeting of Jesus with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well. This woman was an outcast... a pariah. By going to the well at noon, she avoided the other women and their gossip and their stares and their murmured conversations.

If you could have asked her on the way to the well what she planned to do in 30 minutes, I am sure that running into town to find the biggest crowd of people around would not have been even close to being an option she would have considered.

Yet, in verse 29, the woman does just that. Funny thing about it is that, in verse 30, we see that the people listened to her. Even though she viewed herself as an outcast, Christ saw so much more! She was able to have a huge impact on her town by the word of her testimony.

John 4:39 (NIV)
39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”

What about you? Have you felt like you were unworthy of being a vocal advocate for Christ? Just like the woman at the well was able to be used for God's purpose and God's glory, so too could you.

Lay down pride and self-loathing and allow the Savior to use your story for His glory!
